Jackie graduated with honours from Ryerson University with an applied arts degree in Image Arts specializing in film in 2000.
After she graduated from Ryerson she worked for a number of years in the film and television industry in a variety of roles from camera person to producer and director. Jackie shot images for the cover of a companion book for a documentary series she also worked on called the Ways We Live, Exploring Community as well as working on several projects as a camera person.
Jackie later worked in marketing in both web and video platforms and continues to serve clients.
Jackie spends hours on the hunt for interesting light. Her fine art photography work currently specializes in landscapes, waterscapes, and urban abstracts and settings primarily using a full frame Canon digital camera. She likes particularly to shoot at night, or during magic hour in and around Ontario, Canada and the northern US.
