Guild Alive with Culture Arts Festival – Toronto
Jul 28, 2018 to Jul 29, 2018
10:00 PM until 5:00 PM
I’m happy to report I was accepted into The Guild juried art festival. Also with my application I was required to submit a portfolio and images of my booth. It’s a really cool spot with interesting history so I was thrilled to be accepted.
The event is being held at at the historical and beautiful Guild Park which was a former artist colony. Not only does it overlook the Scarborough bluffs, it is home to over 60 remnants of old buildings from Toronto and other areas in Ontario and they’re assembled to look like old ruins. Marble columns, corinthian capitals and arches from the Bank ofToronto building were repurposed to create open-air theatre. And there is an 1800’s log cabin – one of the oldest building in Toronto – too. Here is some interesting history on the Guild Inn for history buffs.
There will be live music and dance performances, artists and artisans market, children’s activities, beer garden during the festival itself.
